Blog 1 - The key, ever-present issue is conservatives fighting for the business class

It's exasperating how everyone - politicians, commentators, us ordinary folk - go on about the surface events and the big names in politics but don't look at the whole picture, which is about a lot more. The key example right now is Trump and what he's saying and doing. Yes, you have to try to tackle that. But to do it effectively, you have to recognise that it's not really about him, it's about conservatives, Republicans, fighting for the business class and defending the business system that enables their great wealth and power. You can see this as a basic feature of the USA throughout its history but looking at the sustained assault against the worker majority started under Reagan in 1980 will do.
